Yemeni Mini Sesame Rolls

Ingredients:

  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Lamb minced meat 250gms
  • Onion sliced 2 medium-sized
  • Green onions chopped 50gms
  • National Tikka Masala 1/4 pack
  • Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed garlic cloves 4-5
  • Crushed roasted coriander 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander 1/2 bunch
  • Fenugreek powder pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Sesame seeds for coating sides
  • Egg 1
  • Roll wrappers  12-14 sheets
  • Flour Sealer (Flour + water mixture 2:1)

Directions

  • In a large cooking pot, heat oil then add sliced onions, sauté a bit stirring continuously.
  • Add in minced garlic, stir till light golden, add in lamb minced meat, and sauté till it changes its color.
  • Add all the seasonings including National Tikka Masala, cook for 15 mins (add little water if needed) then add fresh coriander.
  • Cover the lid and cook further for 5 more mins on low flame. Toss in green onions. Cook minced meat completely at room temperature.
  • Take roll wrappers fill with cooked minced meat, and seal with flour sealer. Now dip sides of rolls in beaten egg and coat side with sesame seeds.
  • Deep fry rolls till golden brown in color. Serve hot with green chutney.
