Shawarma

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 200 g
  • National Salt 1 tsp – for chicken
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • National Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
  • National Black Pepper Powder 1 tsp
  • National Garlic Powder 1 tsp
  • National Cumin Powder 1 tsp
  • National Garam Masala Powder 1 tsp
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • National Salt 1/4 tsp – for sauce
  • National Mayonnaise 3 tbsp
  • National Red Chilli Powder 1 tsp
  • Tomato 1
  • Cucumber 1
  • Cabbage 1/2

Directions

  • Cut chicken into strips and mix it with all the ingredients. Marinate for 15 to 20 minutes
  • Add marinated chicken to a grill pan and cook it until it's fully done
  • Make the sauce by adding mint paste (mint green chillies and garlic cloves) in yogurt and add red chilli powder, salt and mayonnaise
  • Apply the sauce to pita bread and add grilled chicken, cabbage, cucumber and tomatoes
  • Apply some more sauce, fold the bread and your Shawarma is ready to serve!
