Fry Gosht

Have leftover Biryani Masala and don’t know what to do with it? Try this easy Fry Gosht recipe for a spicy delicious meal.

For Mutton Marinade:

  • Mutton boneless 500 gm
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • National Bombay Biryani Masala 3 tbsp


For Cooking:

  • Marinated mutton 500 gm
  • Water 1 liter
  • Oil ¼ cup
  • Yogurt 1, ½ cup
  • Green chili big slices 1 large
  • Ginger julienne 1 tbsp. (for cooking)
  • Fresh coriander for garnish
  • Ginger julienne for garnish


  • Marinate mutton with ginger, garlic and National Bombay Biryani Masala and put in fridge for 2 hours.
  • Now put marinated mutton in a pan, add water and cook until it boils. Then cover it and let it cook for at least for 45minutes (or until it is fully cooked).
  • Now mix mutton well and dry out all the water.
  • Add oil, yogurt, green chili and ginger, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the gravy thickens and oil separates.
  • Garnish with coriander and ginger and serve piping hot.
