National Sindhi Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Rice 1kg
  • Chicken pieces
  • Lemon juice as per taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies 3-4
  • Onions 3-4
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Chopped tomato 3
  • National Biryani Recipe Mix
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • National Salt – to taste
  • Lemon juice 1 tsp
  • Star anise 2-3
  • Lemon Slices
  • Mint Leaves
  • Yellow Food Color
  • Milk
  • Butter – optional 2 tbsp
  • Water – as required

Directions

  • Pour oil into a pan and heat it.
  • Put in onions and fry till they turn golden.
  • Add chopped tomatoes.
  • Marinate your chicken with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, yogurt, and National Biryani Recipe Mix (for best results marinate overnight).
  • Place the chicken in the pan and let it cook.
  • Meanwhile, put your rice to boil and add salt and lemon juice. Stain the rice when done.
  • Then, grease a pan with butter and add rice and then your marinated chicken.
  • Mix thoroughly and pour milk mixed with yellow food colouring over it.
  • Cook on high flame to build up steam. Then, let it steam cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
  • Serve in Handi or any utensil of choice.
