Methi Malai Mattar

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 inch cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 green cardamom
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp National salt
  • 1 tsp National Red Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp National Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp National Cumin Powder
  • ½ tsp National Garam Masala
  • ¼ National Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp National Kasuri Methi
  • 1½ cup fresh/ frozen peas
  • 4 tomato paste
  • 400 g fresh Fenugreek leaves
  • ¾ cup fresh cream
  • coriander leaves
  • green chillies
  • Jullian ginger

Directions

  • Method
  • Wash and cut fenugreek leaves in 1 tbsp oil cook onion tomatoes and green chilli and make puree as well.
  • Boil the green peas in water until soft . Meanwhile heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add fenugreek and sauté on a high flam after 2 min take it out
  • In same pan add 1/4 cup oil, cumin, cinnamon and green cardamom.
  • Add gg paste and onion tomato paste ,National red chilli powder , salt ,turmeric powder and cumin powder cook on low flame.
  • Once the oil leaves from side add boiled green peas and sautéed fenugreek leaves.
  • Mix well and cook for a min .Then add cream or malai and mix well.
  • Cook 1 min and switch off the flame .
  • Methi Malai Mattar is ready to serve.
