Masala Bhindi with a twist of National Crushed Pickle

Simple, yummy and easy recipe for lunch!!

Ingredients:

  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Okra half kg
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Onion Sliced 2
  • Garlic Chopped 1 tbsp
  • National Crushed Pickle 1 ½ tbsp
  • Green Chilli Paste 2 tbsp
  • Tomatoes Chopped 2-3
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder ½ tsp
  • Cumin Powder ½ tsp
  • National Chilli Powder 1 tsp or to taste
  • Button Red Chilies Crushed 3-4
  • Lemon Juice 1-2 tbsp
  • Dried Fenugreek Leaves ½ tsp (optional)
  • Green Chillies 2-3

Directions

  • In a pot, add oil, okra and fry for 4-5 minutes and set aside
  • In a separate pot, add oil and onion, fry until translucent
  • Add garlic and green chilli paste, mix well
  • Add tomatoes, National Crushed Pickle, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, National Chilli Powder, button red chilies and mix well until tomatoes are soft
  • Add stir fried okra and mix well
  • Add lemon juice, dried fenugreek leaves, green chillies, and serve
