Kofta In Gravy

Ingredients:

For Meatballs

  • 1/2 kg mince
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1/4 green coriander bunch
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp National Garam Masala
  • 3/4 National Salt
  • 1 tsp National Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp National Coriander Powder

For Gravy:

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 cups sliced onions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1 tsp garlic paste (or chopped)
  • 1 tsp National Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp National Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp National Turmeric powder
  • Whole Garam Masala
  •  5 to 6 black pepper
  •  3 to 4 long
  •  2 black cardamom
  •  1 cinnamon stick
  •  1 tsp Whole zeera

Directions

Method:
  • Chop all ingredients for meatballs together in a chopper and make balls and set aside
  • In 1/2 cup oil add onions and fry till golden. Take them out and let them cool
  • In a blender take tomatoes , yoghurt and these fried onions and blend it
  • In the same oil add garlic paste ( or chopped) and sauté it
  • Now add that blended mixture and the whole garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and braise it
  • Add 3 glasses of water , when it boils on medium heat , add the koftas you made and set aside
  • Cover and keep checking (do not use the spoon or over use it as it will break the balls)
  • When the water is about to dry and turn the flame low
  • Now add half glass or 1 glass of water, when it simmers add green chillies, garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves and give dum for 5
