Fruit Custard Tart

Ingredients:

For tart basket:

  • Egg 1
  • Sugar granulated 75g
  • Butter softened 70g
  • Flour sifted 220g
  • Baking powder 1/2tsp

For custard:

  • Milk 500ml
  • National custard 4tbsp
  • Sugar 1/2cup or to taste
  • Vanilla essence 1/2tsp
  • Seasonal fruit according to your choice

Directions

For tart:
  • In a bowl, add butter and whisk it with the help of whisker. Gradually add sugar in it and keep whisking
  • Add an egg in it and mix it for 1 to 2 minutes
  • Add baking powder in sifted flour, mix well now
  • Add flour in the wet mixture. Mix it well
  • Now knead it with hand and make a soft smooth dough, dust flour on shelf and roll the dough. Roll in square, cut the irregular edges and fold in rectangular shape
  • Now take a flat bowl, cover it with aluminum foil, cut the dough according to bowl size, roll the bowl over the dough and press the dough with hand to stick it on bowl
  • Roll the remaining dough and cut in a bowl size round shape. Now press and set this round shape dough at the bottom of bowl to make it basket base
  • Preheat pan on medium flame for ten minutes. Now put the tart in pan, cover with lid and bake for 25 to 30 minutes on low flame
  • Take the remaining dough, roll it again, cut in vertical strips and twist it to make basket handle. Place it on butter paper and bake in preheated pan for 20 minutes on low flame
  • For custard
  • Take a pan, add milk and bring it to boil. Add sugar and cook on medium to low flame until sugar is dissolved
  • Add National Custard in 1/2cup milk. Add vanilla essence in it and cook on low flame for 3 to 4 minutes and let it cool at room temperature. Keep custard in the fridge to chill
  • Fill the basket with chilled custard layer and fruit of your choice
