Chinese Spring Rolls

We make spring rolls in ramadan


  • 500 grams chicken
  • 1 tbsp chopped green chilies
  • 1 tbsp zeera
  • Half tbsp National Salt for chicken
  • 1 cabbage, Julienne cut
  • 1 carrot, Julienne cut
  • 2 capsicums, Julienne cut
  • Half tsp National Salt for Vegetables
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp National Chilli Powder
  • 1 tbsp crushed black pepper
  • 2 tbsp National Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • Roll sheets
  • Flour slurry


  • Boil chicken with green chilies, salt and zeera till chicken cooks completely and water dries. Let it cool then shred
  • Meanwhile mix salt in vegetables and let them set for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes squeeze the vegetables and discard water
  • Heat oil and fry ginger garlic paste for few seconds. Add shredded chicken and mix
  • Now add squeezed vegetables, National Chilli Powder, pepper, ketchup and oyster sauce, give it a good mix. Add salt if needed. Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool completely
  • Fill in roll sheets and fold, use flour slurry to stick edges. Deep fry in medium hot oil till golden brown from all sides
  • Serve with National Ketchup and National Mayonnaise dip
