Mostly I make it in one dish parties of my family they love to eat aloo wali biryani made by me.

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes peeled ½ kg small
  • Yellow food color1/4 tsp
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Yogurt whisked 1 Cup
  • NATIONAL RED CHILI POWDER ½ tbs or to taste
  • Masako 1 sachet (10 g)
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbs
  • Salt 1 tsp or to taste
  • Nutmeg & Mace powder  1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbs
  • Ginger garlic paste ½ tbs
  • Green chilies crushed 2 tbs
  • Onion fried ½ Cup
  • Cooking oil 1/4 Cup
  • Mint leaves chopped ½ Cup
  • Fresh coriander chopped ½ Cup
  • Onion fried ½ Cup
  • Rice basmati ½ kg (boiled until 3/4th done)
  • Ghee 1 & ½ tbs
  • Water 1-2 tbs
  • Yellow food color ½ tsp or as required
  • Onion fried as you want to garnish

Directions

Directions:
  • In a bowl, add potatoes ,yellow food color, mix well & set aside.
  • In a wok, add cooking oil, potatoes, sprinkle salt and fry until golden brown (12-15 minutes) & set aside.
  • In a bowl, add yogurt, NATIONAL RED CHILI POWDER, chicken powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, nutmeg & mace powder, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, green chili, fried onion, mix well & set aside.
  • In a pot, cooking oil, spiced yogurt and mix well.
  • Add fried potatoes, mint leaves, fresh coriander, fried onion, boiled rice, chicken powder and ghee.
  • In water, add yellow food color.
  • Add food color, fried onion, cover and steam cook for 10-15 minutes & serve
