Al Rehman Biryani

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1kg cut into 12 pieces
  • Potatoes 4 cut in halves
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Ginger Garlic paste 1tbsp
  • National Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • National Salt to taste
  • Roasted and crushed cumin and coriander seeds 1tbsp
  • National Garam Masala powder 1/4 tsp
  • National Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Chicken powder 1tbsp
  • National Biryani Masala – 4 tbsp
  • National Chat Masala
  • Yogurt – 3tbsp
  • Brown Onions 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 3 (cut into pieces)
  • Green Chilies -3
  • Aaloo Bukhara – 8
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 Bunch roughly chopped
  • Yellow Food color – 1 tsp
  • Basmati Rice  4 cups

Directions

  • Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, National Red Chili powder, roasted and crushed cumin seeds, coriander seeds, National salt, National Garam masala powder, National Turmeric powder, chicken powder, and National Biryani masala.
  • In a pan, add oil and marinated chicken and fry for a few minutes until the chicken changes its color.
  • Then add 2 big glasses of water. Cook till chicken and potatoes are tender.
  • Add fried onions, coriander leaves, green chilies, tomatoes, and Aloo Bukhara.
  • Sprinkle National Chat Masala and zarda food color.
  • Top with boiled rice.
  • Cover and cook on high flame for 10-15 minutes.
  • Then put it on dum for 5-10 minutes.
  • Biryani is ready to serve.
