Achari Chaana Pulao

Ingredients:

  • Chickpeas 1.5 cup
  • Rice 1 kg
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 1.5 tsp
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Oil as required
  • National Crushed Pickle Achaar 1.5 tbsp.
  • Garam masala 1 tbsp.
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Tomato 2 medium

Directions

  • In a wok, fry onion slices in oil until it gets soft
  • Add ginger garlic paste and chickpeas. Cover it with lid and let it cook. Then add tomatoes, garam masala and other spices
  • Add yogurt and cook until oil separates, add National Crushed Pickle and mix
  • Add 8 cups water and let it boil. Add rinsed rice and cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Serve hot with raita
