Week days


  • Rice 2 cups (soaked for 30mins)
  • Boiled peas 1 cup
  • Onion 1 big sliced
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • National Garam masala 1 tsp
  • National Salt to taste
  • National Pickle 2 tsp (according to your taste)
  • National Red Chilli Powder half tbsp
  • National Cumin Powder 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 4-5
  • Tez patta 2-3
  • Dar cheeni 1 stick
  • Oil for cooking


  • In a pot add oil, heat it, and fry onions till light brown.
  • Add gg paste and all masalas and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add peas, green chilies, and 3.5 cups of water.
  • When water starts boiling, add rice and stir.
  • When the water starts boiling again, adjust the salt and lower the flame.
  • When the water becomes less add National Pickle.
  • Mix it in rice, with a soft hand and let the rice cook on dum.
  • They should be ready in 25 minutes. First 5 minutes cook on a medium flame and the remaining 20 minutes on a low flame.
  • Take out in a serving dish and serve in your style!
